Recommendations on books about stock trading and finance              Jul 21, 2007 - 09:50 AM

Just like the book says, safe strategies for building wealth. Not limited to stock strategies, but includes other topics such as currency arbitrage. Gives you a broad view of how finances work in the world and practical tips on what to do.

Great book on swing trading. You could do well just trading during the earnings announcement every quarter. I was up 300% at one point following his advice.

Great book on great traders. Transcripts of interviews with trading greats. I especially liked the interview with Ed Seykota, who builds trading systems. Gives insight into how good traders think - which is a lot of the battle.

Classic book on training. Did his trading by wiring his trades in on delayed quotes. He also outlines his strategy in a way that I think could still work today. Proves that your strategies don't need to be overcomplex, that a simple one can make you a lot of money.

I think that's it for now. I have a library of finance and stock books, but these are kind of the cream of the crop, especially for those that want to explore stock trading.
